This morning we woke up on the first day of our trip in Monaco. On any other day, Monaco would be a great place but today isn't any other day. Today is the final race of the 2005 Monaco Grand Prix.

The first thing that seems out of place is the buzzing sound. From about a mile off in the harbor, aboard the ship, you can hear a steady buzzing sound, like thousands of mad hornets. Buzzing...

During dinner last night, a package containing 2 tickets to the race was placed in our cabin along with two sets of ear plugs. I almost dismissed the ear plugs and left them behind, but the hornets buzzing from a mile away made me think twice. So I took them. Thankfully.

Our schedule for the day was full. We disembarked the Crystal Symphony at 8 am and headed into town for a private luncheon at Prince Rainer's Car collection. They are very specific in letting you know it is NOT a museum. It is the private collection of the prince which he has allowed the public to view. But not today. It's closed down just for us. After lunch we walk to the grandstands at Turn 6 where we join Kid Rock, George Lucas, Paris Hilton, and Naomi Campbell to name a few to watch the exciting final race then return to the ship.
