Rhodes has an Acropolis too ! Alot of the old Greek cities have them. Granted they all aren't as breathtaking at the one in Athens, nor do they all offer a Parthenon. The Acropolis in Rhodes is still very impressive however.

Our trip to the Valley of the Butterflies took us into the mountains where we visited a small preserve that is famous for the millions of small butterflies which are only found here. During the peak of their season they cover the rocks and trees and if disturbed erupt into giant clouds of yellow, orange and red.

The actual city of Rhodes is a midieval castle city. The entire port city is encircled by a huge wall and the interior of the city is still very period. Enjoy the pictures.
